Tag Rugby  4th March 2016

After many months of hard training during our after school club we excitedly had our first competition at the Sleaford schools tag rugby tournament. The team was very young consisting of pupils from year 4, 5 and 6. The ten children- Maddie, Shauna, James, Tom, Joshua, Jacob, Lennon, Matthew, Ellie and Lucas played incredibly well for all seven matches with great determination, skill and sportsmanship. We played against much larger schools made up completely of year 6 children. The Winchelsea team played with no fear winning two matches, drawing three and losing one.  Much to our surprise and excitement we made it through to the play offs where we were unfortunate to lose to a well drilled Rauceby team that defended incredibly well. The team represented Winchelsea with great dignity playing with respect towards their opponents all the time. Miss Duckett and I are very proud of their achievements and look forward to more success in future matches.
