'All individuals matter'
Personal Development is extremely important to us at Winchelsea Primary School. We offer a variety of experiences to help the children and staff at our school to develop.
Residential trips
On an annual basis, Key Stage 2 children are able to take part in activity adventure trips around the United Kingdom, staying away from parents and carers for a week to develop resilience, teamwork and independence. Not only is this an inspirational learning adventure, but this is also an opportunity for children to develop self-esteem and take risks.
Roles and Responsibilities
At Wincheslea Primary School, we encourage all children to take responsibility for their actions but also to help others. Children have the opportunity to take on a variety of roles around school. These include:
Themed Days and experiences
Eat them to defeat them healthy eating week
We take part in various initiatives to encourage our children to make healthy food choices.
Charity Days
Children are encouraged to show kindness and empathy towards others and take action to fundraise for charity. We enjoy Children in Need day, Red Nose day and taking part in a mini-marathon to raise money.
