    'All individuals matter'

At Winchelsea Primary School, we have a range of services and support for wellbeing and mental health.

We follow the 5 ways to wellbeing in school as part of our classroom provision and during assemblies.

    Wellbeing assemblies

Each week we focus on a different theme or idea that helps our children to stay safe and look after themselves. This may include:

    • active challenges,
    • learning new skills,
    • taking notice, staying safe and listening to our bodies,
    • making connections and new friendships

    Wellbeing buddies

We have wellbeing buddies in school who work alongside our Mental Health Support Team members, (MHSTs) who visit our school regularly.  They deliver assemblies, work at break and lunchtimes to support our 'buddy system' and learn how to help other children to improve their wellbeing.
