Winchelsea's Blog » New Zealand Week Posted by superadmin on 5th June 2016

The children enjoyed a fascinating week before half term when they learned about many aspects of life in New Zealand. They mastered RUCSAC and calculated four digit addition and subtraction using data based upon the ten highest mountains in New Zealand. The children worked with Miss Reid to appreciate the geography of New Zealand and created fantastic Maori tattoos and art with Mrs Cox and Miss Davies. They learned to count in Maori with Miss Couling and cooked sickly lolly cakes with Miss Stewart. The children also enjoyed performing The Haka and playing tag rugby.

The week was very interesting and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

PS. Euan, your little sister was scarier than you when she did the Haka!!
