Volunteers and FOWS

'All individuals matter'

At Winchelsea Primary School, we welcome strong links with our community and the opportunity to work with others. Volunteers can help in school for a range of purposes to support both children and staff.  These include:

  • Listening to children read
  • Working in classes supporting the teacher
  • Working with small groups of children on specific tasks
  • Helping prepare and run special events
  • Gardening
  • Leading or supporting clubs
  • Supporting staff on school trips

FOWS (Friends of Winchelsea Primary School)

We have an amazing group of volunteers who run our FOWS. They meet once a month to plan fundraising opportunities so that our children can have exciting and enriching opportunities beyond the curriculum.

This includes school discos, film nights, fun days, Easter egg hunts and more!

Each year our FOWS serve breakfast to the whole school and provide activities during Children In Need day.

Here are a few of our volunteers helping Santa to deliver presents to all of our children at Christmas time.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at our school, we would love to hear from you.
