Reading and phonics

In Year 1, we will be learning phonics through a new scheme called Read, Write Inc.

Useful Information and reminders

 

P.E days are Wednesday and Thursdays. 

Forest school is on a Friday

 

Please remember to bring the following items into school every day: 

• Book bag / reading record and book

• A waterproof coat 

• Water bottle 

Homework

This term, we would like our children to focus on the following homework each week: 

• Share a book with parents 

• Read key words and sounds using the videos and QR codes which will be sent by Mrs Houlden. 

• Complete Mathletics tasks 

• Additional tasks are set on spelling shed, these are optional, but encouraged
