Reading and phonics

In Year 2, we will be learning phonics through a new scheme called Read, Write Inc.

Useful Information and reminders

Our P.E days are Tuesday and Wednesday this term. All children should be prepared for P.E outside and inside with different footwear and an extra bag for any muddy shoes.

 

Please remember to bring the following items into school every day: 

• Book bag / reading record and book

• A waterproof coat 

• Water bottle 

Homework

This term, we would like our children to focus on the following homework each week: 

• Mathletics and TT Rockstars

• Edshed (Spelling Shed)

These are all platforms children can use at home to help with their learning and a homework sheet will come out that can be completed. High quality work is rewarded and displayed.

I hope the tasks are fun and engaging.
